Most in Brazil do, I guess. Usual starting times are 8 am, they can't start too early because lots of people have to face longer commutes and wouldn't make it in time anyways...

Well, herp derp I'm feeling pretty dumb now :p

Anyways, yeah, classes usually start mid february for schools and high schools, and in march for college because our summer months are December, January and February here in Brazil.

Except this year we're starting a week early because the university is anticipating urban chaos during the world cup, so they can let us off a week before during the winter break as well. Personally, I'm hoping for riots and terrorist threats during the world cup.

Thing is, I bet my ass they won't shut anything down during the games. We'll have to go through hell and back in the broken down backstreets to get there because all the main avenues will be detoured to the local stadium and in the end we'll just get another stupid week in college...

Well, I've actually been looking at some options... Canada seems like a good one. Not too hard to get a visa, nice weather, babes and you can apply for citizenship after three years as a permanent resident.

And I wouldn't mind taking up residence in the great white north at all.

I don't.Idiotic proffesors that don't like you because your handwriting is ugly,having to wake up at 7am even in the winter when I once had to go to school at -19C(here school is only cancelled when there's a lot of snow,but not when it's frickin' cold) are just 2 of the reasons.I only miss the summer breaks and the various trips we had when we used to get very drunk.Some of the girls were crying at the graduation ceremony but I was just smiling that this shit is over.
